I grew up in Vermont and studied Anthropology, Religion and French at the University of Vermont. I worked at the archaeology unit there and was inspired to get my Masters degree in archaeology, which I did in York, England. After getting married, my wife and I moved out here so I could attend the U for my PhD, and I started working here before I finished that degree, and have been here now for almost 20 years! I love teaching and I also am a musician, messing around with various instruments and singing. I also like to make art, I draw and make stone tools, and have a history of woodworking. I am a father of three. I like to ride my bike and play frisbee, too.
