海角社区 (NHCC) and St. Cloud State University (SCSU) held a signing ceremony on Friday, November 15 to celebrate their EDVANTAGE partnership creating a clear and attainable path for students to pursue a bachelor鈥檚 degree.
The is designed for students who want to begin their college experience at NHCC to earn an associate degree, then transfer to pursue a bachelor鈥檚 degree at SCSU.
鈥淲e are pleased to work closely with 海角社区 and grow the partnership between our two institutions,鈥 SCSU Interim President Larry Dietz said. 鈥淭he St. Cloud State EDVANTAGE program takes a unique comprehensive approach that makes the transfer process clear and accessible for students.鈥
Students have the benefits of early access to SCSU advising, guaranteed admission to SCSU upon completion of their community college program and a $500 EDVANTAGE scholarship awarded during their first semester at SCSU.
鈥淭his partnership embodies our shared commitment to providing students with clear, attainable pathways to bachelor's degrees," said NHCC President Rolando Garc铆a. 鈥淏y aligning our programs and resources, we are better equipped to serve our students and communities, fostering a culture of collaboration and mutual support.鈥
Friday's official signing was also followed by an intercampus leadership meeting, where SCSU and NHCC administrators discussed how they can work together to effectively serve students.
