Job Description

Tutoring is a rewarding experience that promotes mutual learning for both students and tutors. The Tutoring Center provides tutors with the opportunity to refine their own skills while collaborating with faculty, staff, and peers. In this role, tutors apply their expertise to offer one-on-one and group support, helping students with content-related challenges in subjects where they excel.

Qualifications

The Tutoring Department is searching for applicants with:

  • Strong subject specific & interpersonal communication skills. 
  • Reliability, positive attitude and a desire to help their peers.
  • The ability to obtain a recommendation to tutor from a faculty member.
  • Financial Aid work-study eligibility and a 2.7 or higher GPA.

Work Schedule
Mondays – Thursdays 9 am – 6 pm and Fridays 9 am – 3 pm. 
Holiday, spring break and summer hours may vary.

Compensation $15.00/hour

We are now accepting applications for tutoring positions for the Spring and Summer semesters! Available positions include Math, English/Writing, Logic, Statistics and more.
