This certificate supports the 2015 Minnesota Legislation Educational Attainment Goal 2025: Working to increase the percent of Minnesotans age 25-44 who have attained a postsecondary certificate or degree to 70% by 2025.

What You Will Learn

• Create, format, analyze, and present documents such as Word documents, Excel documents, Access documents, and PowerPoint presentations to effectively communicate in business in accordance with professional standards.

• Analyze data presented in business cases requiring information management effectively using Access to create databases to show information in a variety of formats.

• Use SQL Server integrated information for query building by analyzing the results.

• How to think critically, independently, creatively and resourcefully to apply knowledge to solve new problems and provide information to guide business decision making.

After NHCC

After completing the Digital Knowledge Analysis Certificate, students can apply what they learned in a related field or apply the certificate credits toward a business degree at NHCC.

The Microsoft Office Specialist (MOS) certification is a globally recognized certification that demonstrates to employers that you have high proficiency in Microsoft Office applications, including Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Access. NHCC offers the option to take any of these FOUR certification exams for free. These Microsoft Office skills are in high demand and are an excellent resume builder!

Are there opportunities for hands-on learning, internships, or real-world projects in this program?

This certificate offers hands-on learning and real-world projects, where you apply your skills to solve problems. In our degree program, we do have opportunities to complete a summer internship, so if you’re interested in an internship, check out some of our other offerings!

Can I make this certificate work with my full-time job?

ABSOLUTELY! We offer our classes in a variety of options: fully online, hybrid (combination of in person and online), and in-person. You can choose which type of class fits with your schedule!
